The In Slab junction box has been a welcome development for plumbing. No longer do you need to sleeve pipes through the slab and leave them turned up on the deck to be damaged through the duration of the construction process.
With the introduction of the junction box, you can lay your pipe runs to the junction box in the form-work. After the pour and setting of the slab, remove the form-work to gain ready access to your pipework.
The use of the junction box has many identified benefits:
- Ensures that protruding pipework cannot be broken or damaged by other Trades after installation.
- No longer will you have to jack hammer the slab to install a coupling and repair a damaged service saving significant time and money.
- Running from the junction box to a stud wall is now a breeze as you can locate the box to suit.
- The use of a junction box also allows easy modification to the plumbing years down the track should the building owner choose to renovate.
